I did not need a fancy GPS just something to get me to my service calls on time. The nuvi 200W is just what I needed. The price was right - on amazon - and I got free shipping. I knew it did not speak the street names but now I wish it did. But I knew that in advance and still like this unit

My gift to my parents will be this nuvi 200w. I am a college student and can't afford anything else so I just ordered this model after a little research. Now they will not get lost on the way to visit me.

I bought this for my husband a few months ago and we've used it a lot. It's been perfect around town and on long road trips. Some newer streets are in it, but the detour feature kicks in so it doesn't really matter.

I borrowed this unit recently from my office for a couple of trips to the Dallas/Fort Worth, and Houston areas. It was GREAT! I got from point A to point B within the cities with less stress than having to read a map while driving. Although I don't own the unit, having been able to borrow it for a few days allowed me the opportunity to get a feel of how a GPS unit works. It impressed me enough that I am looking to purchase one. After reviewing your site, I will get mine from Amazon.com as they seem to have the best prices.

Bought this at Amazon in early July, and it came with the 2008 version of the maps, which couldn't find our vacation destination in Florida. But after a free upgrade from the Garmin website to the 2009 version, it was able to lock in on our vacation address. We used it extensively on vacation and it never steered us wrong. The 'Detour' function came in very handy when we ran into a major traffic jam on the way home. Also excellent at finding points of interest, and allowing for loading of customPOI files. Very easy, very portable, very accurate. I'm deeply satisfied.

The Nuvi is the perfect choice for a beginner. It is easy to set up but seemed to take a long time to find a sattelite and establish communications with it. However, once it did, it was extremely accurate and efficient. I found the sound quality very crisp and clear. The Nuvi's 4.3' screen display was brite and the colors were sharp and dense. I am certainly not a high-tech. All I know is that the Nuvi gets me where I want to go with precision and accuracy which gives me much confidence.
