It was down to a TomTom 720 and Garmin 660 so I finally decided on the Garmin 660 and I think I made a good decision. Its sleek and easy to use and gets me there on time plus its got all the extras.

We were impressed with how easy the Garmin Nuvi 660 was to use. It was easy to use right out of the box without reading the directions. Very intuitive. We also liked the FM transmitter feature, which makes it much more like a built in GPS might be. The Nuvi 660 mutes the music to do the voice directions over your radio. Very nice. The only slight disapointment was a bit of static using the FM transmitter in this northern NJ location. Another nice feature is the optional SD card to load your music on. Youplug the Nuvi 660 into your computer and it functions like a flash drive. No programs to load, nothing to learn, you just copy and paste your MP3 files on the SD card and you are ready to go. Very nice also.

Very intuitive to use, in fact I never even glanced at the instructions. Text-to-voice spoken street names mean you don't need to look down and is a must-have feature. Bluetooth is a feature I thought I wouldn't use but ends up being very convenient andfoolproof. Hooked right up to my blackberry and was able to select numbers from my address book to dial with the touch of a button. Widescreen interface is great and display is easy to read even in bright sunlight. Power cord attaches to suction cup base rather than directly to unit, making it easy to remove the unit to take with you and easy to clip back into the base. It will definitely get you from A to B and generally takes efficient routes. However, sometimes around town where I have my littleshortcuts it will take me a route I know is somewhat out of the way. I dinged it one star for accuracy but suspect most GPS units would perform similarly. Connecting to satellite is extremely fast as long as it is turned off in same location where it isturned back on. Otherwise it can take a minute or rarely two. You won't be disappointed.

This is my second Garmin GPS. The ease of every function is a joy to use. Very self explanitory. The bluetooth was very easy to set up with my motorola Razr. Can't say enough good things about this GPS. If you want a simple to use, high quality unit, thisis it!
